Story mode- The ant(the player) gets kicked out of its colony. You have to try to survive by collecting materials like wood, stone, coal, gold, diamonds, and even plastic, and food. You have to be careful though, there are hostile mobs that will try to kill you. And your colony will too. It will get harder and harder as the days go on. If you die, you would respawn back at your bed.

Survival mode- is exactly the same, but you don't have to worry about any colonies. If you die, you would respawn back at your bed.

Creative mode- is when you can have an unlimited number and type of blocks, and you can't die.
